When communication fails, operations stop. But in mission-critical sectors, silence isn’t just an inconvenience, it’s a risk. This was the central theme in Cologne this week, where the future of secure communication took center stage.
Our team has just returned from PMRExpo 2026, Europe’s leading trade fair for secure communication. For three days, Cologne became the meeting point for the “BOS” sector (authorities and organizations with security tasks) and the operators of Critical Infrastructures (KRITIS).
Representing BHE, our three-person delegation was on the ground at Hall 07.1 | D038, engaging in the dialogues that will shape the industry for years to come.
The industry is currently navigating a massive technological shift, and nowhere was this more apparent than at the PMRExpo Summit.
The days of relying solely on traditional narrowband systems are evolving. The hot topic of 2026 was interconnectivity, specifically, how to seamlessly bridge the reliability of legacy systems with the speed and data capabilities of LTE and 5G private campus networks.
For us, participating in this event was crucial.
As providers of solutions for critical sectors, we saw firsthand how the demand is shifting toward hybrid technologies that can protect both the economy and public life.
There is simply no substitute for meeting face-to-face. The connections made and the energy shared at our stand have provided fresh momentum for our entire team.
We remain fully committed to this vibrant community and are proud to confirm that we will return to Cologne next year to continue shaping the future of secure communication together.
