Innovation often happens behind closed doors, in secure labs and cleanrooms. But once a year, the Night of Modern Factories (Modern Gyárak Éjszakája) gives us the unique opportunity to unlock those doors and invite the public into our world.
This year, on November 7th, BHE Bonn Hungary Electronics was proud to participate again, welcoming over 100 visitors into the heart of our operations.
For the local community, BHE might just be a building they pass by every day. But for us, this event is about storytelling.
It’s about showing that right here in Hungary, we are engineering solutions that impact the world, and beyond.
We kicked off the event with two sold-out sessions at 16:00 and 18:00. Due to the high interest, we split our guests into three groups per shift to ensure everyone had a personal, interactive experience.
After a brief introduction to who we are, we took our guests on a journey through the lifecycle of high-tech electronics.
Our visitors didn’t just see a production line; they saw the entire engineering process that allows BHE to export to nearly 60 countries worldwide.
The tour provided a rare glimpse into:
Design & Modeling: Where ideas turn into blueprints. We showed how we conceptualize complex RF and microwave systems used in defense and space industries.
Preparation: The meticulous planning required before a single component is touched.
Manufacturing: The main event. Guests watched how we build high-reliability systems, from critical communication solutions to onboard satellite equipment.
It’s not just about showing off our machinery. It is about connection. We want to inspire the students, the engineers, and the tech-enthusiasts in our community.
When a visitor sees a piece of equipment and realizes, “This will go into space,” or “This keeps our emergency responders connected,” it changes their perspective on engineering.
We were overwhelmed by the curiosity and the thoughtful questions we received from our 100+ guests.
Whether you were a student contemplating a career in engineering or a neighbor curious about what happens inside BHE, thank you for spending your evening with us.
