HW Systems Engineer (Space & Ground RF Systems)
About the Role:
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced RF systems for both space and ground segment projects. You will define system concepts, manage requirements, and ensure technical coherence across the full lifecycle (Phase 0/A–E) in line with ECSS and ESA expectations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO?
System Architecture & Concept Development:
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into system‑level architectures
- Perform technical trade‑off analyses
- Prepare and maintain system‑level budgets and calculations
Technical Coordination:
- Provide professional coordination for RF and mechanical engineering teams
- Resolve interdisciplinary technical conflicts
- Participate in formal design reviews and present technical content
Verification & Validation:
- Approve test plans and verification documentation
- Support MAIT activities during integration and testing
- Perform anomaly investigation and root‑cause analysis
Customer & Partner Interaction:
- Serve as the technical point of contact for ESA and other partners
- Prepare, maintain, and present technical documentation
- Support proposal development with system-level input
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or similar
- Circuit design experience
- Understanding of systems engineering processes
- Knowledge of ECSS or similar industry standards
- Familiarity with integration & testing processes
- Confident English skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- RF engineering background
- Experience in space industry or high‑reliability RF systems
- Link budget knowledge
- Experience with requirements tools (e.g., Polarion)
- Basic understanding of environmental testing (vibration, thermal, EMC)
- Technical leadership experience
