Description
This document describes the BMCU104 block upconverter developed and manufactured by BHE, being intended for use in professional applications in X-band such as satellite earth stations. It is housed in an IP67 rated outdoor cabinet. The BMCU104 includes a single conversion upconverter stage with appropiate filtering, a low phase noise local oscillator, a microprocessor based monitor and control circuitry, and power supply. This upconverter can be controlled via RS-485 or Ethernet. External reference and power supply have dedicated connectors. External reference can be fed over IF port as well, combined with the IF signal.
